About this site

Terms of use

Effective January 1, 2026. Plain language on purpose. These terms cover your use of the psychiatry.help website.

Who runs this site

psychiatry.help is operated by LiveWell, LLC, a psychiatry and men's health clinic in Oregon and Washington. The writing here is educational and editorially independent. The site is not the clinic, and reading it does not make you a patient (see the medical disclaimer).

Educational, not medical advice

Everything on this site is general information. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for talking to your own clinician about your own situation. If you are in crisis, call 988 or go to an emergency room.

Using the contact form

The contact form is a referral inquiry. It goes to LiveWell's care coordination team, who check whether you qualify (benefits, condition, age, and so on) to be seen by one of our specialists. If you're not a fit, they make every effort to refer you to someone better suited to help. Keep it to a short note about what is going on, and do not put detailed medical history into the form.

Comments

If comments are open, keep them civil and on topic. We moderate, and we remove spam, abuse, and anything that looks like a medical emergency posted in public. Do not share private health details in a comment, and do not treat replies as medical advice for your situation.

Our content

The writing, images, and other material here are original to their authors and protected by copyright. You are welcome to read it and link to it. Please do not republish whole articles or reproduce the material elsewhere without permission.

Links to other sites

We link out to journals, the FDA, the NIH, professional societies, and other sources. Once you click through, you are on someone else's site under their terms, and we are not responsible for their content.

No warranties, and your own judgment

The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and current, but medicine changes and mistakes happen, so we make no guarantee that everything here is complete or error free. Decisions about your health are yours to make with a licensed clinician who knows your case. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for choices made based on reading this site.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we update this page and move the effective date at the top.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law rules.
